Comparative Studies of Domestic and Imported Tools for the Purpose of Import Substitution Presented is the comprehensive comparative research of cutting inserts of lathe cutters of various foreign and domestic tools (KZTS) made on modes of finishing, semi-finishing and roughing turning modes using the computer diagnostics centre. It is established that the majority of parameters the domestic cutting tool produced in Russia is not inferior to foreign-made tools Foreign tools and can be recommended as a replacement at various machine-building enterprises of Russia.

Designing Modular Tool Set-Ups With Breakage Protection Devices It gives a description of modular tool setting designs with devices preventing tool breakage from cutting forces moments, exceeding the maximum allowable ones determined by tool torsional strength. It gives calculation dependences of cam and ball coupling device parameters on torques values, axial forces, tool fastener sizes and tool axial displacement values in view of their tool service life.

Development of a Composite Surface Layer Is a New Technology for the Tool-Making Facilities A new technology for machining tools with thin-film wear-resistant coatings for development of a composite surface layer allowing to increase the wear resistance of tools is proposed. Characteristics of the developed prototype of an industrial installation for the machining of hard-alloy plates are presented.

Prospects of Increasing Accuracy of Precision CNC Multicoordinate Machines by Digital Correction Methods Prospects of digital correction methods for improving precision of CNC machines are considered. They estimate prospects of 6D calibration systems integration into the carrier system of precision numerically controlled multi-coordinate machines allowing real-time comprehensive correction of primary deviations, which appear as a result of moving the machine“s moving parts including their “occasional” component.

Equipment for Multifunctional Composite Materials Manufacturing Modified with Graphenes and Their Products Machines for production of different additives of nanomaterials, including those on the basis of graphene, for modifying the composite materials properties for various purposes and machines for production of products from these materials at the orderly formation of their homogeneity (nonmixing) are presented. Experimental research results are presented. Its show validity and advantages of using this equipment in production of high-performance composite materials.

Microstructural Peculiarities of Roller Rolling of Inner Surface of Aluminium Bronze Ship Reinforcement Elements The questions of changing microhardness and microstructure during roller rolling of inner cylindrical surfaces of elements of ship fittings made of BrAJHMc grade bronze 9-4-4-1 are discussed. Multifractal parametrization of images of microstructures formed during rolling has been performed. It is shown that the hardened surface area is multilayered.

Effect of Multi-Pulse Current and Thermal Heating Modes on Mechanical Tensile Behaviour of Grade 4 Titanium Influence of pulse duration and multipulse current density as well as of heat heating modes on strain behavior and mechanical properties during tensile straining of commercial pure titanium Grade 4 is shown. The contributions of thermal and electroplastic effects to flow stresses reduction at the same temperature are compared. It is noted that the observed effects are realized without structural changes at chosen modes of action.

Digital Transformation of Metrology and Metrological Assurance in Industry Modern approaches of industry and metrology digitalisation are presented. The problem of quality assurance of domestic machine-building and instrument-making products, connected with metrological assurance of conformity assessment of products in production is discussed. The question of attitude to metrology and metrological support in industry is raised. The questions of ambiguity of terminology regarding metrological assurance in normative documentation are considered.
