Scientific fundamentals of development and improvement of development of primary subsystem and synthesis of multilevel basic group technology (MBGT) are given. The development of the main subsystems of MBGT is presented. The methodology description of the parametric optimisation of types of unified cutting tools (UCT) designed for group machining and modes of optimal cutting of structural and hard-to-machine materials on precision universal turning, CNC machines and automatic longitudinal turning machines is given.
